- Paint - basic palette, list below.
- Oderless Thinner ( oil painters)
- Palette Paper (or roll of wax paper)
- Paper towels
- Plastic Gloves (optional)
- Smock
Paint Brushes / Palette Knife
2 -3 Brushes.
One smaller for detail or line. Varied Sizes Flats & Filberts.
One or two medium size Flat or Filberts to spread paint over larger surface area.
1-2 Palette knifes . Diamond shape head.
* Oil painters can use synthetic or bristle brushes.
Canvas
11 x 14" or 16" x 20" canvas or canvas board.
Paints - Oil
Oil Paints
Oils - Odorless thinner in small can to clean brushes. / Alkyd can speed drying time - optional.
Primary Colors for Oil :
Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Light , Alizarin Crimson, Cobalt Hue,
Titanium White, Burnt Umber, Viridian Green, Black.

I purchased this nice 12 tube watercolor kit / QOR/ from Stuart Art Supply next door to our studio location. The Art supply shop has this Watercolor Kit available, spray bottle, Watercolor Brushes and Watercolor Paper. As long as you have the basics, we're good!
- WATERCOLORS ; basic color that incl. vibrant hues. See kit mentioned above. These came in a tube. ** Purchased watercolor pan separately.
- If your kit includes colors in small box pans, also very good.
- WATERCOLOR PAPER 12 x 16 " or 16 x 20" Watercolor paper
- BRUSHES ( a couple of Round and Flat water color brushes)
- ** Special affects: Include a FAN BRUSH . Medium size.
- PENCIL ( simple mechanical pencil incl in photo)
- WHITE ERACER (also in pencil tip)
- PAPER TOWELS or rag.
- SPRAY WATER BOTTLE.
